Nestled in the foot of the Alps, in the Montagne de l'Epine, the Lac d'Aiguebelette is situated at the gateway of Savoy. It is the third natural lake of France.
The magnificent emerald green colour of Lac d'Aiguebelette - its name means "beautiful
little waters" - gives it a fairylike dimension of calmness and serenity.
It is a true haven for you to relax and to recharge your batteries in outstanding natural surroundings, ideal for sports like swimming and hiking or discovering unusual local features and customs.
|
The
geographical location of the Lac d'Aiguebelette, enclosed by the mountains
for a long time, enables it to keep a genuine character and protected environment.
Its ecological exuberance makes it an ideal sight for fishing. Its shores
and pretty three-sided blanket of water have stayed very unspoilt with reed,
luxuriant aquatic fauna and flora, little houses on palisades, boathouses,
fishing boats.
In order to preserve the quality of water, boats with thermal motors are not allowed on the lake.
